The short version: Use FindTheSnakes lawfully and fairly. Don't abuse the service or try to circumvent payments. We provide the service as-is and are not affiliated with Instagram or Meta. By using FindTheSnakes you agree to these terms.
1. Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using FindTheSnakes ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.
We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
2. Description of service
FindTheSnakes is a web-based tool that allows users to upload Instagram data export files and identify accounts that are not following them back. The Service is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Instagram or Meta Platforms, Inc. in any way.
We offer three tiers of service:
- Free — Limited results with basic analysis
- One-time ($3) — Full results for a single analysis
- Monthly Pro ($10/month) — Unlimited analyses plus premium features including whitelist, notes, audit history, and unfollower log
3. User accounts
To access paid features, you must create an account with a valid email address and password. You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
- All activity that occurs under your account
- Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
4. Payments and refunds
All payments are processed securely by Stripe. By making a purchase you agree to Stripe's terms of service.
- One-time payment ($3) — Non-refundable once the full results have been revealed
- Monthly subscription ($10/month) — You may cancel at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No partial refunds are provided for unused time

5. Acceptable use
You agree not to use FindTheSnakes to:
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations
- Attempt to circumvent payment systems or access paid features without paying
- Create multiple free accounts to avoid paying for the service
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service
- Use the Service in any way that could damage, disable, or impair it
- Upload files that are not legitimate Instagram data exports
- Harass, stalk, or harm other Instagram users based on information obtained through the Service
6. Instagram data and compliance
FindTheSnakes works exclusively with data that you legally export from your own Instagram account through Instagram's official data download feature. You are responsible for ensuring that your use of your Instagram data complies with Instagram's Terms of Use.
We do not scrape Instagram, access Instagram's API, or collect any data from Instagram's servers. We only process data files that you provide directly.
7. Intellectual property
All content, design, code, and features of FindTheSnakes are owned by us and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any part of the Service without our written permission.
Your data (whitelist, notes, analysis results) remains yours. We do not claim ownership over any data you store in your account.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
FindTheSnakes is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that:
- The Service will be uninterrupted or error-free
- Results will be 100% accurate at all times
- The Service will be compatible with all Instagram data export formats (which may change)
Instagram may change their data export format at any time. We will make reasonable efforts to update the Service accordingly but cannot guarantee immediate compatibility.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, FindTheSnakes shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or any actions taken based on information obtained through the Service.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these terms or your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
10. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to FindTheSnakes at any time for violations of these terms. You may also terminate your account at any time by contacting us at [email protected].
Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Data associated with your account will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
11. Governing law
These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be resolved through binding arbitration rather than in court, except where prohibited by law.
